The short version: some links on Gun Show Schedules are affiliate links. If you buy or book something through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide which shows appear on the calendar, how they are ordered, or what our guides say.

What may be an affiliate link

Links from our guides and pages to retailers can be affiliate links. That includes gear in categories that come up around gun shows — safes, cases, range bags, hearing and eye protection, cleaning supplies, and ammunition — and lodging near a show's venue. When you click one of these links, the retailer may set a cookie that tells them we sent you. If you then make a purchase, they pay us a share of the sale.

A simple rule: assume any link to a store may earn us a commission.

What is never an affiliate link

Official source links on show listings. These go straight to the promoter's own schedule or event page so you can confirm dates before you drive.
Directions and add-to-calendar buttons.
Government and reference links, such as ATF guidance pages.
Anything involving a firearm transfer. We do not sell firearms, run classifieds, or connect buyers with private sellers, and we never will.

Promoter placements

Promoters can buy featured placement or newsletter mentions. Anything paid is labeled as such where it appears. The standard calendar — which shows are listed and the order they appear in — is not for sale at any price. Listing a show is free.

Editorial independence

Retailers and promoters do not pay for coverage in our guides, and they do not review or approve articles before publication. If a product or show is not worth your money or your drive, we would rather say so than earn a commission on it.

Why we are telling you

Because you should know when someone has a financial interest in a link they show you. This disclosure follows the Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).
